Monochrome brings together the work of Javed Akhtar, Izzie Beirne, Sean Cavanaugh, Esme Keenleyside, Regina Parra, James Prosek, Donald Sultan, and John Walker — eight artists of different generations, backgrounds, and approaches whose work demonstrates how perception is activated when chromatic range is deliberately restricted. Here, monochrome is less a category than a condition of heightened seeing, in which attention is redistributed across surface, structure, and material presence.
